Heald Place Primary School

Year 2

Year 2 have worked really well to make Rangoli patterns linking to the Hindu festival of Diwali celebrated on October 19 th. Rangoli patterns are traditionally made using coloured sand on doorsteps to welcome guests into a house. Instead we used coloured chalk and watercolour to
create a special effect. Children applied maths skills of shape, including patterns, repetition and rotation.

Year 2 have also been weaving with paper!
The children were pleased with the results of their hard work!
