We have been given 10 Fruit trees, a mix of pear, apple, plum and cherry from the Clean City funding, Customer & Community Engagement at Manchester City Council.
6 students from the University of Manchester, Student Development & Community Engagement Division came to support some of our pupils with the planting of these trees.
One of our Parent Governors also supported us with the planting.
Chris our site manager was also available to offer us support and advice.
It was a very cold day and it was a very hard job, but we all really enjoyed the experience. The children were really happy to find lots of worms in our soil.
We planted 6 trees on our field and 4 on the pocket garden. We are all looking forward to our first fruit crops later in the year.
What could we use our fruit for?
