Some of our Green Ambassadors and parents braved the rain and the wind to help tidy up our Pocket Garden. They raked up a tremendous amount of leaves to create leaf piles for the hedgehogs to hibernate during the cold months.
Some of the Green Ambassadors and parents helped to pick up litter, such as bottles, cans, plastic bags and sweet wrappers.
Others started to weed out the overgrown planters.
There is still lots to do, so why don't you pop along to the school office and put your name down to be part of our Growing in the Community group.
Even though it was a wet afternoon some of our dedicated Green Ambassadors, Urban Gardeners and our parent supporters braved the weather conditions to tidy the Pocket Garden and to plant out some vegetables. Even though we have had some vandalism on our garden recently we are pleased that the runner beans, onions, strawberries and apple trees are thriving.
We are very much looking forward to sampling the produce.
